The first time I came across horoscopes was likely with the newspaper and my mother’s magazines for women. While reading those short messages, I usually laughed and didn’t take them seriously. This makes sense to me, as I assume that these general phrases were written down for amusement purposes instead of insights for me and many others.
And now I’m sitting here, writing a serious blog post about the topic horoscope. How did this happen ;-)? I regularly found myself among the “New Age” culture on Koh Phangan in Thailand for more than a year. Astrology is taken relatively seriously within this culture, which made me curious. I was very skeptical and, at the same time, hoping for a bit of recognition. So I started to deepen myself into this subject, looking for step-by-step “guidance” and “clarity” on my star sign.
What is a Birth Chart?
I discovered that everyone has a birth chart specific to the time, date, and place of residence. This birth chart can be used as a discovery and mirror to yourself. Some astrologers even advise against taking your birth chart as absolute truth and seeing your birth chart as an exploration. Some astrologers can be wildly convinced of their findings, although these predictions rarely come true. I choose to discover astrology in a light-hearted and playful way and share some tips about what I come across along the way.
Which Horoscope Apps inspire me?
The horoscope apps that inspire me and give me daily food for thought are:
CHANI: I read that Chani is Oprah Winfreyโs house astrologer. Reason to order her book and download the app. She is one of the astrologers who describes the birth chart as a voyage of discovery, which appeals to me. Lovely app to gain more depth and understanding of your birth chart and personal transformations with a compassionate approach. Meditations and affirmations are part of the premium subscription and are very helpful when mental support is needed.
The Pattern: I especially like this app because it displays matches between you and another person. You can see how you relate to another person. The app describes the relationship between two people positively and objectively. A personal profile is also outlined with a daily update.
Co-Star: A tip from my younger brother. It is lovely for a light daily message. For a small payment on your initiative, you will get a clear and concise explanation of your houses and signs.
These are my favorite astrology apps. If you have benefited from my experience and/or you use an app, I am curious about your experiences. Would you like to share these in the comments?
Warmly,
Anique
